Cumby, Spencer & Associates, a very successful financial group in Newtown Square, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Financial Consultant who is competitive, has positive attitude, and a proven track-record working with successful individuals and business owners to help us meet our increasing demand.

Since the principal owner of Cumby, Spencer & Associates is also separately affiliated with New York Life Insurance Company, a Fortune 100 company, we can help you affiliate with New York Life as a New York Life Agent with working Bruce.

The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively establish and maintain relationships, and be process driven, with great time management. We prefer an individual who is licensed in Life & Health Insurance, has a Series 7 or 6 & 63, along with 2 years of prior experience. We will mentor and provide warm leads as well as help you develop your own book of business.

Significant income earning potential is possible. Commission Based.

Position Summary

The producer is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, and selling new accounts. Continuing to counsel and market to existing clients professionally is another essential function of the position. Specific sales goals and service responsibilities are determined during the yearly planning process for this position. Meets service and sales standards of volume with timeliness and quality. The producer retains assigned accounts at each renewal period.

Essential Job Functions

- Identifies and develops insurance prospects and appropriate markets.
- Designs insurance plans and recommends coverage to clients.
- Develops a book of business that is profitable.
- Creates and maintains client or prospect lists.
- Asks for referrals from clients to help generate new business.
- Continues to develop relationships with clients.
- Expand personal knowledge and skills through joint work with fellow associates.

Essential Job Requirements

-An acquired Series 7 or 6 & 63 would be preferred along with 5 years of prior experience.
-Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with others, to explain complex issues, to receive and interpret complex information, and to respond appropriately.
-Ability to generate new business sales, retain existing business, and to close sales.
-Network and make contacts daily.
-Ability to drive vehicle, visit clients, and make related calls to others.
